Join a Stonewall Bar Association Committee! We Need Your Involvement!
Below are descriptions for the committees that need help!  Please email the co-chairs to join the committee, or show up at a meeting!

The Communications Committee is responsible for publicizing Stonewall events to the membership and broader community.  Committee members run the Stonewall website, email newsletter and social media.
  • Our meetings for 2017 are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. via phone conference on the following Fridays: March 3, May 5, June 30, September 8.  Please email one of the committee chairs below for call-in information.

The
Finance Committee is responsible for obtaining sponsorships and the budget.  They are also responsible for tracking membership renewals and payment of membership dues.

The OUTreach Committee is responsible for developing and expanding membership.  They are the team responsible for coordinating Stonewall's Gayborhood meet-up groups, the New Member Mixer, and the Pride events throughout Georgia.  This committee will also be tracking attendance at events, soliciting ambassadors for outreach at our mixers, and outreach outside of the perimeter (OTP outreach).  

The Awards Dinner Committee
is responsible for our Annual Awards Dinner.  They will plan all of the details of the awards dinner, including coordinating the speaker and program, the location, menu, awards, and all of the details that make the dinner a special event for the organization.

The Professional and Public Interest Committee is responsible for planning CLEs, identifying and supporting pro bono and community service efforts, as well as organizing speakers on legislation.  The committee is also responsible for Law Day Events and making recommendations to the Board for participation as an amicus.

The Law Student Committee is responsible for coordinating the  mentorship program, the February Law Student Mixer, the Kay Young Scholarships, and for coordinating events at law schools.  


The Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) business league,

dedicated to promoting the interests of LGBT legal professionals and their allies.
