Emory OUTlaw invites the members of the Stonewall Bar Association to a panel discussion on Friday, September 2, 2016, at 4:00p.m.
The panel discussion will feature Jim Obergefell (the named plaintiff of Obergefell v. Hodges) and Debbie Cenziper (a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist). Obergefell and Cenziper recently released a novel titled Love Wins, which details Obergefell's involvement as a plaintiff in the landmark same-sex marriage cases that landed before the Supreme Court in 2015.
Obergefell and Cenziper will be speaking about their new novel in Tull Auditorium (located on the third floor of Gambrell Hall) on Sept. 2. Tara Borelli, a Senior Attorney at Lambda Legal, will also be joining the conversation to talk about Lambda Legal's role in litigating Obergefell. OUTLaw will be hosting a pre-reception at 3:15 p.m. for Emory Law students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The panel will begin at 4 p.m. We will then host a reception for everybody following the panel.
OUTLaw would be honored to have members of the Stonewall Bar in attendance. We hope that you are able to join us!
