POSITION: Staff Attorney, American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Georgia (ACLUF-GA)

The American Civil Liberties Union Foundation of Georgia (ACLUF-GA) seeks to hire a full-time, experienced Staff Attorney to work out of its Atlanta office. The Staff Attorney works under the Legal Director’s supervision and in close collaboration with the legal department, law student interns, volunteer attorneys who are co-counsel on ACLU of Georgia cases, and attorneys from the National ACLU office. Just as important, the Staff Attorney works closely with staff from the communications department in a fast-paced environment that addresses headline-making issues through litigation, advocacy, and community education. 

The Staff Attorney must be prepared to litigate a variety of civil rights and civil liberties issues, potentially with a predominant focus on voter rights. The Staff Attorney must be able and willing—with minimal guidance and supervision—to research and learn complex legal issues and quickly put together lawsuits oftentimes on short notice in response to late-breaking events. The successful Staff Attorney will move fluidly from the courtroom to the community and will be able to work with diverse allies and coalitions to achieve our ambitious goals.

POSITION: Associate Attorney at Ganek PC

POSITION: Judicial Officer, Family Division of the Superior Court of Fulton County

The Family Division of the Superior Court of Fulton County is seeking to fill a Judicial Officer position. Pursuant to Fulton County Superior Court Family Division Rule 1000.2 the requirements for this position are as follows:

Applicants must be in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia; a resident of Fulton County; have considerable experience in the family law area consisting of either seven (7) or more years of a) a law practice 50% or more of which is devoted to family law cases, or b) judicial experience in a court with a docket consisting of 50% or more family law cases or c) a combination of a) and b ); be of good moral character; and be willing to commit at least two (3) days per week to serving as a Judicial Officer; be well-suited temperamentally to handle domestic relations issues; and be readily accepted by the Bar based upon experience and knowledge.

The Georgia Justice Project (GJP) is seeking a staff attorney that will work to reduce barriers to housing for individuals with a criminal history through policy advocacy, education, and direct representation.  This attorney will be responsible for developing and implementing a new program at GJP funded by a two-year grant from Equal Justice Works and the Georgia Bar Foundation under the direction of the Legal Director.
