Currey Hitchens, Secretary
A member of OutLaw at Emory School of Law, Currey received the Kay Young Scholarship and attended Lavender Law for the first time. She attended the University of Georgia to obtain her master of education in children's literature. At Agnes Scott College for her undergraduate studies, she quickly realized she belonged and is involved there still as a co-president of her class.
Currey is an avid reader, and not just of children's literature. She proposed to her wife at mile 7 (or so) of a 20 mile run, and continues to run as much as life allows. Her wife is also an attorney and they have two wonderful inquisitive and sweet children. Currey also enjoys hiking and camping and spending time with her family. A Georgia State Park Pass lives in her car, if you are game for a hike.
Currey joined the Stonewall Board in 2019, but has been a long time Stonewall Bar Member. She is a LGBT Bar Best of 40 under 40 winner for 2018.
