Maureen "Molly" O'Connor, Law Student Committee Co-Chair & Pride Committee Chair
She is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association (GDLA), the GDLA’s Education Committee, Lawyer’s Club, the Atlanta Bar Association, and she volunteers as a Judge for various mock trial and moot court competitions as well as civic organizations. Ms. O’Connor is a trial attorney at Swift Currie McGhee & Hiers. Ms. O’Connor has over 20 years of experience in the insurance claims industry having earned her Associate in Claims in 1997 while working as an Insurance Claims Representative for Federated Mutual Insurance Company and later GEICO. Her practice is primarily concentrated in the areas of premises liability defense, personal injury defense, construction, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, general liability, professional negligence, insurance coverage, environmental cases, HOA/COA defense, and related litigation. She has also successfully represented herself as a plaintiff in a real estate suit.
Molly has two boxers, Riley and Finley, and is an avid animal lover. She is also an advocate for sufferers of Dysautonomia, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and other Chronic Illnesses. She lives in East Atlanta Village and loves exploring all that the city has to offer.
