Stonewall Bar Association Racial Justice Grant

2021 Racial Justice Grant Application

The Stonewall Bar Association is now officially accepting applications for the 2021 Racial Justice Grant Program! Grant applications can be submitted hereThe application will close on June 30, 2021. 

The Stonewall Racial Justice Grant will financially support organizations that serve marginalized racial populations within Georgia's LGBTQ community. Additionally, the Grant will be funded through our new level of sponsorship, Racial Justice Grant Sponsor. Sponsors who give at that level are invited to participate in the selection process. We encourage all of our members and sponsors to be a part of this historic program and to encourage organizations to apply! Your donations and support can help these incredible organizations make a bigger impact and support efforts to pursue racial justice in our communities. 

Deadlines & Critical Dates:

      • Grant Recipient Application Submission Deadline: June 30, 2021
      • Deadline for a Racial Justice Grant Sponsor to designate a selection committee member: July 7, 2021
      • The 2021 Grant recipient will be announced at our Annual Dinner, date TBA


Congratulations to the 2020 recipients of the Racial Justice Grant!

The Stonewall Bar Association is proud to recognize the following recipients of the 2020 Stonewall Racial Justice Grant. Each of these recipients has a proven commitment to serving Georgia’s Black transgender community. Thanks to our generous sponsors and members, the Stonewall Bar Association is thrilled to support their efforts by awarding each recipient $11,000!

Trans Housing Atlanta Program, Inc.: THAP’s mission is to provide safe housing and appropriate supportive services to transgender and gender nonconforming individuals seeking housing security in the Atlanta Metro area.

Ubuntu, Inc.: Ubuntu’s mission is to remove barriers in transgender people’s lives with a holistic approach, including: providing supportive spaces and peer counseling, assistance with transition-related health needs, and advocacy for reproductive justice.

The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation: The Mabry Foundation’s Thrive with Pride program seeks to provide homeless LGBTQ youth with support to obtain a high school diploma and go to college.
