SBA was established in 1995 as a coalition of Georgia attorneys, judges, law students, paralegals, and other legal professionals.  Our mission is to use the expertise of our members to support the rights of LGBTQ+ people and to oppose discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.  We publish an online directory of attorneys willing to serve and respond to the unique needs of LGBTQ+ clients and distribute regular newsletters to hundreds of legal professionals.

Your support allows us to offer important programming for both lawyers and laypersons.  Ongoing SBA programming includes facilitating a robust law student mentoring program, developing and facilitating CLEs, hosting social and networking events for attorneys, law students, and other legal professionals, and offering scholarships for law students to attend the Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair sponsored by the National LGBT Bar Association.
