Amicus
The Amicus Committee processes and evaluates requests for SBA to participate as an amicus in various cases. It also assists the Board with determining whether SBA will or can participate.
Annual Dinner
The Annual Dinner Committee plans and facilitates SBA’s Annual Awards Dinner, which is SBA’s largest event of the year.
Bar Relations
The Bar Relations Committee develops relationships and engages with other similarly purposed legal organizations.
Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee facilitates fundraising efforts and expands relationships with sponsors.
Law Student OUTReach
The Law Student Outreach Committee supports LGBTQ+ law students, and strives to provide networking opportunities for students and expand student participation.
Membership OUTReach
The Membership Outreach Committee engages with and strives to expand the SBA membership. It also conveys public information about the organization, manages all media, and drafts press releases and statements.
Pride
The Pride Committee facilitates the participation of Stonewall in Prides throughout Georgia.
Public Interest
The Public Interest Committee provides continuing education and pro bono opportunities to SBA members, as well as discovers additional ways for SBA to give back to Georgia’s LGBTQ+ community.
Judicial
The Judicial Committee develops programming for the Georgia judiciary to raise the issues of LGBTQ+ people and informs law students’ interest in pursuing careers on the bench.
